WINE RIDE #1

Now that the temperatures have dropped a bit, we will be hosting our first wine ride of the year this Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Wichmann Vineyard (located just east of Cobden). The ride will set off at 10:30 a.m. and will wind it's way to the first winery in southern Illinois, Alto Vineyards, before taking the riders back to Wichmann Vineyard. Riders can choose between a roughly 30-mile route or a 20-mile route, both with plenty of miles in the scenic Shawnee Hills. While Wichmann Vineyard does offer snacks for purchase, riders are also welcome to bring their own snacks/food for the after the ride.

KOM CHALLENGE/BINGO

As our summer months brought some intense heat this year, we have pushed back a couple of our challenges to keep riders safe and able to have fun. Our soIL Mountain Goat (climbing) challenge will be beginning on September 1, giving everyone a few weeks to work their legs up to challenging our previous winner, Adam Wallace! Our BINGO challenge will be happening this October and is guaranteed to be filled with some awesome prizes and challenging squares. All club members are invited to take part in both challenges for a chance to win some sweet swag!
