Step into living history at The Landmark, now home to St. Nicholas Brewing Company's second brewpub. Since 1830, this iconic building has stood witness to the ebb and flow of the Mississippi River and the growth of Chester.
A Storied Past
- Built in 1830 on land first settled in 1816
- Played host to Illinois' early leaders and famous writers like Mark Twain and Charles Dickens
- Survived a tornado in 1981 and multiple renovations
- Rumored to be haunted, with ghostly footsteps and whispered voices
The St. Nicholas Landmark Experience
- Reopened in July 2018 after extensive renovations
